Six-by-Four is a much more difficult version of FreeCell and gets its name from its six tablaus and four cells.

How to Play Six-by-Four
Game Objective
Move all cards to the four foundations.
Foundation Rules
- There are four foundations.
- An Ace may move to an empty foundation.
- The foundations build up by the same suit.
- For example the 3♠ may move onto the 2♠ and the 3♦ may move onto the 2♦. Starting with the 3♣ the following sequence can build on top 4♣ 5♣ 6♣ 7♣.
Cell Rules
- There are four cells.
- Any card may fill an empty space.
- The top card is movable.
Tableau Rules
- There are six tableaus.
- Any card may fill an empty space.
- The tableaus build down by alternating colors.
- For example the 10♠ may move onto the J♦ and the 10♥ may move onto the J♣. Starting with the 10♥ the following sequence can build on top 9♠ 8♦ 7♣.
- Any card may move to an empty tableau.
- Sequences of cards built down by alternating color can move together as a group.
Strategy & Tips
3 tips for the best chance of winning Six-by-Four:
- Keep the four free cells, free where possible. They are used to help move the large stacks of cards.
- An empty tableau doubles the number of cards you can move between tableaus.
- Any single card may be moved to a free cell space.
