Penta Solitaire
Penta is played with two standard decks (104 cards). There are three tableaus that contain one cards each. The objective is to move all cards to the four foundations by building them up regardless of suit.
How to Play Penta
Build left foundations up regardless of suit and wrap around on Kings. Fill empty left foundations with Fives. Build right foundations down regardless of suit and wrap around on Aces. Build left tableaus down regardless of suit and wrap around on Aces. Fill empty left tableaus with any card. Build right tableaus up regardless of suit and wrap around on Kings. Stock deals one to waste without redeals.
Game Objective
The goal of Penta is to move all 104 cards to the foundation piles. You achieve this by building sequences of cards up regardless of suit that start with an Ace and end with a King. You win when the four foundations each contain a complete sequence of thirteen cards.
Left Foundation Rules
- There are four left foundations.
- The left foundations are initially empty.
- The left foundations build up regardless of suit. Left foundations may build around-the-corner (an Ace may move onto a King).
- For example the 6♠ may move onto the 5♠, 5♥, 5♣ and 5♦. Starting with the J♠ the following sequence may build on top Q♦ K♠ A♣ 2♥.
- The top card is movable.
- A Five may move to an empty left foundation.
Right Foundation Rules
- There are four right foundations.
- The right foundations are initially empty.
- The right foundations build down regardless of suit. Right foundations may build around-the-corner (a King may move onto an Ace).
- For example the 9♠ may move onto the 10♠, 10♥, 10♣ and 10♦. Starting with the 3♠ the following sequence may build on top 2♦ A♠ K♣ Q♥.
- A Five may move to an empty right foundation.

Stock Rules
- The stock deals one card face up to the waste when tapped.
- A single pass through the stock is permitted. Redeals are not possible. Once on the waste, cards remain until used in a valid move.
Waste Rules
- There is one waste.
- The waste is initially empty.
- The top card is movable.
- Once empty the waste remains empty until more cards move from the stock.
