Muse Solitaire
Muse is an open game (all 52 cards are displayed face up at the beginning of the game). The objective is to move all cards to the four foundations by building them up by the same suit.
Odds of winning: Very Low
Win about 1 in 10 games (10%).
Skill Level: Mostly Skill
Winning is mostly determined by skill. A small amount of luck is involved.
How to Play Muse
Build foundations up by the same suit. Fill empty foundations with Aces. Build tableaus down by alternating color. Move sequences built down by alternating color together. Fill empty tableaus with valid sequences.
Game Objective
The goal of Muse is to move all fifty-two cards to the foundation piles. You achieve this by building sequences of cards up by the same suit that start with an Ace and end with a King. You win when the four foundations each contain a complete sequence of thirteen cards.
Foundation Rules
- There are four foundations.
- The foundations are initially empty.
- The foundations build up by the same suit.
- For example the 7♠ may move onto the 6♠ and the 7♦ may move onto the 6♦. Starting with the 7♥ the following sequence may build on top 8♥ 9♥ 10♥ J♥.
- The top card is movable.
- An Ace may move to an empty foundation.
Cell Rules
- There are seven cells.
- Initially containing one card face up in each cell.
- The top card is movable.
- Any single card may move to an empty cell.
Tableau Rules
- There are nine tableaus.
- Initially containing a Klondike layout with all cards face up.
- The tableaus build down by alternating color.
- For example the 10♠ may move onto the J♦ and the 10♥ may move onto the J♣. Starting with the 10♥ the following sequence may build on top 9♠ 8♦ 7♣.
- Sequences of cards built down by alternating color may move together as a group.
- Any card or valid sequence of cards may move together to fill an empty tableau.
