Contradance Solitaire
Contradance is played with two standard decks (104 cards). The objective is to move all cards to the eight foundations by building them down by the same suit.
How to Play Contradance
Build fives foundations down by the same suit and wrap around on Aces. Fill empty fives foundations with Fives. Build sixes foundations up by the same suit and wrap around on Kings. Stock deals one to waste with no more than one redeal.
Game Objective
The goal of Contradance is to move all 104 cards to the foundation piles. You achieve this by building sequences of cards down by the same suit that start with an Ace and end with a King. You win when the eight foundations each contain a complete sequence of thirteen cards.
Fives Foundation Rules
- There are eight fives foundations.
- The fives foundations are initially empty.
- The fives foundations build down by the same suit. Fives foundations may build around-the-corner (a King may move onto an Ace).
- For example the 7♠ may move onto the 8♠ and the 7♦ may move onto the 8♦. Starting with the 3♦ the following sequence may build on top 2♦ A♦ K♦ Q♦.
- A Five may move to an empty fives foundation.
- The fives foundations may hold no more than six cards.
Sixes Foundation Rules
- There are eight sixes foundations.
- The sixes foundations are initially empty.
- The sixes foundations build up by the same suit. Sixes foundations may build around-the-corner (an Ace may move onto a King).
- For example the 4♠ may move onto the 3♠ and the 4♦ may move onto the 3♦. Starting with the J♦ the following sequence may build on top Q♦ K♦ A♦ 2♦.
- The top card is movable.
- A Six may move to an empty sixes foundation.
- The sixes foundations may hold no more than seven cards.

- Once empty the waste remains empty until more cards move from the stock.
